Ingredients:
250g all-purpose flour
140g warm milk
20g granulated sugar
4g yeast
- Whisk all the ingredients in a stand mixer until all the ingredients come together and form a dough ball.
- Take the dough out of the stand mixer bowl, and knead by hand until it gains a smooth surface.
- Set the dough in a clean bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and let it rise until doubled in size.
- Knead the dough by hand to get rid of the air inside the dough. Divide the dough into 8 pieces and roll into balls.
- Flatten the dough balls, add the red bean paste as filling, and seal it up.
- Let them set for 20 minutes.
- Set the buns in a pot with water. Heat until water boil, reduce to heat to medium, and steam the buns for 15 minutes. Turn off the heat; let the buns set for another 5 minutes.
- Remove the lid and let buns cool until safe to touch.
