Butter Cookies


90g softened unsalted butter

45g confectioners’ sugar

25g egg (room-temp)

120g cake flour (low-protein flour)

3g cocoa powder

3g matcha powder




  1. Softened the butter. Add in sugar, beat until light and fluffy. Add in eggs, and beat until well combined. Add in cake flour, and mix well.
  2. Divide into 3 portions. Add cocoa powder into one portion, and matcha powder into another portion. Mix well and transfer into separate piping bags.
  3. Preheat the oven to 320(160). Line the baking tray with parchment paper or baking mat. Pipe out the cookies dough. Let bake for 25 minutes. Cool and serve.
