Checkerboard Cookies

Ingredients:

Original Flavor Dough

65g butter

25g egg

50g powdered sugar

110g cake flour

10g cornstarch

Chocolate Flavor Dough

65g butter

25g egg

50g powdered sugar

100g cake flour

15g cocoa powder

 

Steps:

  1. In a clean bowl, put in softened butter and sugar, beat until smooth. Add in egg, and beat until well combined. Add in cake flour and cornstarch (add in cocoa powder when making the chocolate flavor dough), mix until all ingredients come together and form a dough.
  2. Place the dough on parchment paper, cover it with parchment paper, and roll it flat into a 1 cm thick and 8 cm wide rectangle. Chill the dough in the fridge.
  3. When the dough is set, take it out of the fridge. Slice and form them into checkerboard pattern.
  4. Place all the cookies on the baking tray. Preheat the oven to 302(150) and bake for 17 minutes.
