130g cake flour
120g chocolate (40g chopped dark chocolate and 80g milk chocolate chips)
75g unsalted butter
35g brown sugar
25g granulated sugar
1 egg (about 40g)
1.5g baking powder
Notes: By cake flour, I mean low protein flour, which normally contains 7-9% protein (Mine is around 8%). Not self-rising flour.
- Preheat the oven to 338℉(170℃).
- Soften the butter, add in brown sugar and granulated sugar, mix well. Add in one egg and mix well. Sift in cake flour, baking powder and salt, mix until combined and no dry flour left. Add in chopped chocolate and chocolate chips and mix well.
- Make about 9 round cookie dough balls. Line the baking sheet with baking mat or parchment paper, place the cookie balls onto the baking sheet, and send into the oven to bake for 15 minutes.
