Dinner Roll


350g bread flour

200g milk

40g granulated sugar

3g salt

10g yeast

1 egg

30g butter



  1. Whisk all the ingredients except butter in the stand mixer until all the ingredients come together and form a dough ball. Add in butter; continue mixing the butter into the dough.
  2. Knead the dough by hand until it has a smooth surface.
  3. Set the dough in a clean bowl, cover it with plastic wrap, and set in a warm place until the dough double in size.
  4. Knead and divide the dough into pieces (about 20 pieces), roll them into balls, place on the baking tray, and let them rise until double in size.
  5. Egg wash them, preheat the oven to 338(170), bake for 25 minutes. Cover the surface with tinfoil when it still has 15 minutes left to bake.
  6. Brush with melted butter and serve.
