Milk Mochi Bites
Ingredients
288g milk
150g glutinous rice flour
36g cornstarch
18g vegetable oil
46g sugar
Steps:
- In a clean bowl (heat resistant & microwave-safe), mix well milk, glutinous rice flour, cornstarch and sugar. Add in vegetable oil and mix well. Sift once, cover it with microwave-safe plastic wrap, prick some holes on the cover and steam until fully cooked (about 20-30 minutes). Or you can microwave it until fully cooked (about 3 minutes). Check the bottom of the bowl to see if its cooked.
-How to tell if it is fully cooked?
-You can find no floating batter inside the dough. The color is translucent.
- Wear gloves. Knead and pull the dough a little bit. Divide into several small mochi dough balls. Cover each dough ball with cocoa powder or milk powder or matcha powder. Serve it with ranch or sour cream.
